Immigration AssociateSeeking an Immigration Associate to join our growing litigation practice in New York City. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level attorney who wants substantial courtroom exposure, hands-on litigation experience, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic practice.Responsibilities:The position is litigation-focused and involves representation before Immigration Courts, the BIA, and federal district courts.Attorneys will work closely with senior counsel while managing their own matters commensurate with experience.Appear before Immigration Courts in master calendar and individual hearingsHandle asylum, withholding, CAT, cancellation of removal, bond, and removal defense mattersDraft motions, briefs, affidavits, and supporting evidenceRepresent detained and non-detained clientsPrepare filings for the BIA and federal district courts, including habeas petitions where applicableCommunicate directly with clients and develop case strategyCollaborate with paralegals and support staff to manage active docketsThis position is designed to grow with the attorney. Junior candidates will receive mentorship and litigation exposure; more experienced candidates will have increased autonomy and responsibility. We value long-term professional development and are seeking someone who wants to build their practice, not just fill a seat.Writing samples may be requested.Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice and in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction (NY, NJ, PA or CT admission preferred but not required)0-5+ years of immigration or litigation experience welcomedStrong legal writing and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage deadlines and multiple casesSpanish or other language skills a plus, but not requiredCompensation & Benefits:Base salary: $85,000 - $110,000 DOEPerformance-based growth opportunitiesMeaningful courtroom and litigation experienceMentorship and hands-on trainingSupportive, team-oriented work environmentHybrid flexibility available depending on role and experience
