Registered Nurse (RN) – Transfer Center Clinical

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient transfers from internal and external facilities, managing an average of 12 cases per shift with up to 10–15 active cases at a time
• Conduct patient assessments and gather clinical information including vitals and patient reports following the intake process
• Identify and secure accepting physicians and specialist providers, matching patients to appropriate facilities based on available services and bed availability
• Request bed placement through the bed management system and coordinate with bed placement teams
• Communicate with physicians and specialists via electronic messaging platforms and multiple concurrent chat channels
• Navigate and utilize multiple computer applications simultaneously including EMR, bed management, and communication platforms

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, Emergency Department, or a Transfer Center setting
• Acute care experience required
• Strong critical care assessment skills and sound clinical judgment with the ability to follow established clinical algorithms
• Proficiency in Cerner or Epic EMR
• Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask across multiple applications; demonstrated typing proficiency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TeleTracking bed management system
• Familiarity with Google Workspace applications in a clinical or administrative environment
• Prior transfer center experience with physician and specialist coordination
