About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Inpatient Surgical (MedSurg) Duration: 24 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: C-section experience required; must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift. Description: This position requires a minimum of one year of experience with at least one travel assignment. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:6. There may be instances where the nurse will have to float to various units including Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, and Acute Care. Monitored telemetry is available on different units. Advanced respiratory support such as BIPAP and CPAP is provided only at night, along with Vapotherm. Although there is no dedicated IV team, a PICC team is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also available around the clock. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend with holiday rotations alongside permanent staff. Nurse aides are available to assist, generally adhering to a ratio of 1:8 or 1:10, with instances of 1:1 care and sitters. The position may require on-call duties during low census periods. Identify patients with several common diagnoses and facilitate care across multiple disciplines.
