Senior Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a seasoned Java Developer to join a critical, large-scale Cloud Migration Project. The selected candidate will be responsible for refactoring and migrating existing on-premise Java applications to a modern, cloud-native architecture, utilizing expertise in Java/J2EE and Oracle Database migration strategies to ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure.

Responsibilities:

• Refactor and migrate existing on-premise Java applications to a modern, cloud-native architecture
• Ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure in a cloud environment
• Play a key role in the optimization and migration of Oracle Databases

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development
• Deep understanding of Oracle Database, including advanced SQL, PL/SQL, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures
• Proven track record of participating in or leading application migration projects from on-premise to cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks for building microservices
• Extensive experience in developing and consuming secure RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OCI) and containerization tools (Docker)

Pay range: $55 - $63 per hour
