The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

The Chem Safety Business Procurement Manager leads procurement across the Chemical Safety business, with responsibility for the buying teams at Eagle Manufacturing in Wellsburg, WV, and Justrite Manufacturing in Mattoon, IL .

This leader is accountable for developing and executing procurement strategies that improve material availability, supplier performance, cost, inventory, and working capital. The role will strengthen and standardize purchasing practices across both operations while identifying opportunities to leverage suppliers and spend across the business.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance strategic sourcing and supplier development with the day-to-day execution required to support manufacturing and customer commitments.

What You'll Do at Justrite:

• Lead, coach, and develop the buying teams at Eagle Manufacturing and Justrite Manufacturing, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and consistent procurement practices.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with Chemical Safety business objectives for service, cost, quality, inventory, and growth.

• Ensure material availability to support production and customer requirements while proactively managing shortages and supply risks.

• Establish supplier performance expectations and drive improvements in delivery, quality, cost, lead time, and responsiveness.

• Lead supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives, leveraging combined spend and supplier relationships across both businesses.

• Deliver measurable material cost productivity through sourcing, negotiation, supplier consolidation, value engineering, and other cost-reduction initiatives.

• Partner with Operations and Planning to optimize inventory and working capital without compromising material availability or customer service.

• Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks, including single-source exposure, capacity constraints, long lead times, and supplier performance issues.

• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Planning on new products, supplier changes, make/buy decisions, and business improvement initiatives.

• Establish common procurement KPIs, operating rhythms, and standard work across both manufacturing locations.
• Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes, ERP/MRP discipline, supplier management, and procurement capabilities.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will be measured through:

• Supplier on-time delivery and material availability

• Material cost productivity / purchase price performance

• Inventory and working-capital improvement

• Supplier quality and performance

• Reduction in material shortages and past-due purchase orders

• Strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation results

• Development and performance of the procurement team

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

• 7+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply-chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing procurement or supply-chain teams.

• Strong experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, negotiation, cost reduction, and inventory management.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, MRP, and material planning.

• Demonstrated ability to lead across multiple locations and influence cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to travel between Wellsburg, Mattoon, and supplier locations as required.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Multi-site procurement leadership experience, Lean/continuous-improvement experience, and APICS/ASCM, CPSM, CPM, or similar certification.

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $120,000-130,000k.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
