PipelayerArk Contracting Services LLC headquartered in Kennedale, Texas was established in 2004 and is a specialty construction contractor focused in heavy civil wet ground and infrastructure projects with the North Texas area. The current scope of practice includes but is not limited to gabion structures, concrete structures, shoring systems, earth retention structures, pipelines, earth anchors systems, erosion protection, and dredging disciplines. The ideal candidate would have the ability to leverage his/her professional experience, education, strong interpersonal skills to be an effective team player.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Unload and carry materials at construction sitesClean up the site from debris and discarded materialBasic knowledge on how to direct and control trafficAssist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipmentSignal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistanceMust be willing to complete manual laborOperate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampersMust have in-depth knowledge of various types of underground pipeInstall or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systemsDig trenches to desired or required depths, if necessary, by hand or using trenching equipmentInstall or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levelsBe able to understand written or verbal instructions and plans to complete projectReliable attendance- must have or arrange transport to job sitesFollow directions from Foremen, SuperintendentsAdditional duties may be assigned as necessaryEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatoryAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbalAbility to use software base management systems to login in time and attendance as well as pertinent information regarding tools and jobsite equipmentCommitted to safety and attends regular on the job training with Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Safety OfficerEstablish and maintain an effective working relationship with field and office personnelMust be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others2 plus years of experience in pipe laying & utilities work preferredPhysical Requirements:Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.Work long shiftsWork in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times.Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mileAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsAble to pass a pre-employment background check to work on government project.Ark Contracting Services provides a competitive benefits package including next month health and welfare benefits, 401K savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%, and PTO accrual.Ark Contracting Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer, E-VERIFY and Drug-Free Work Place. #J-18808-Ljbffr
