Lead Financial Analyst - MSI

MSI is a leading MGA that leverages underwriting expertise and insurer risk capacity to deliver specialized insurance solutions, including digital renters and homeowners coverage, commercial coverages, cyber liability, and habitational property, through agents, brokers, wholesalers, and brand partners. Responsibilities Work directly with key stakeholders to assist in driving business decisions. Analyze monthly financial results, including KPIs, and identify/explain trends, preparing related summaries/management reports for business leaders and other key stakeholders. Assist in building monthly reporting packages, decks, and communication of results. Develop and automate models to transform data into meaningful, clear, concise reporting/action plans. Assist in developing Budget/Plan and Forecast using various models, industry data, and insights from business leaders. Develop end-to-end product knowledge to support business decision making. Help run projects and mentor Junior/Senior Analysts on the team. Collaborate with Technology and Data & Analytics partners to build and implement AI‑centric reporting, modeling, and business insight solutions. Support business opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and their teams, creating pro‑formas and other ad‑hoc analysis. Collaborate with key stakeholders and other cross‑functional groups (Ops, Accounting, Technology, Data & Analytics, etc.) to deliver results. Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations (Baldwin Group Azimuth) and influencing others to reward performance. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or other relevant disciplines. Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience. Licenses: CPA or CFA preferred but not required; insurance licenses such as CPCU, Affiliated, P&C licensing, etc. a plus. Experience with Workday suite of products and Adaptive Insights a plus. Experience with process automation and utilization of Anthropic AI tools a plus. Skills Analyze information and use logic/rationale that connects concepts. Build a story around findings and relay results to leaders. Willingness to lead projects and align colleagues to achieve goals. Utilize effective research and investigative techniques. Basic understanding of GAAP (accruals, revenue recognition, etc.). Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. Experience with AI tools and process automation is preferable. Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred. Work Environment Travel: Up to 10%. Location: Candidates residing in Tampa, FL or Boston, MA are preferred; hybrid office schedule of 2–3 days a week. Remote options for strong candidates. Compensation Starting compensation: $100,000 + annually.
