Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Boarders in PACU)

Location

Philadelphia, PA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week | Monday through Saturday (no Sundays)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU boarder patients housed within the PACU unit, with an expected patient population of trauma overflow
• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans under the direction of a licensed physician using the nursing process
• Collaborate with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and individualize patient care
• Direct and supervise nursing support staff in the delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Float to the ED for ICU holds or to other ICU and step-down units based on census and operational need

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Working knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and current clinical methods and techniques

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU or relevant clinical specialty area
