About Roslindale Pediatrics: Roslindale Pediatrics provides high quality, compassionate, and comprehensive health care for pediatric patients and their families in a supportive and respectful environment. We are a well-established, medium sized (7 physician partners, 4 nurse practitioners, 2 behavioral health clinicians) office located in West Roxbury, MA. Our patients are newborn through college age, and many families have been with our practice for generations. Position Overview: The Pediatric Practice Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our pediatric office, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of care. This role requires a compassionate and committed leader with exceptional organizational skills. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, patient-focused environment. They will manage staff, optimize workflows, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, all while promoting an atmosphere of excellence in patient care. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate administrative staff, including receptionists, billing staff, and referrals department. Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused team environment. Human Resources: Provide Human Resources support to employees. Manage bi-weekly payroll, retirement contributions, and credentialing processes. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, billing, accounts receivable, and insurance verification processes. Collaborate with the billing and accounting team to ensure financial health and sustainability. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure the practice is compliant with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) and standards. Monitor quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction metrics. Participate in NCQA Medical Home compliance. Patient Experience: Ensure excellent patient care by enhancing patient communication, addressing concerns, and optimizing the patient experience from check-in to discharge. Staff Training & Development: Coordinate ongoing training, development, and performance reviews for staff. Support continuous education on pediatric care best practices, software systems, and customer service. Vendor & Resource Management: Manage relationships with vendors and ensure the practice is equipped with necessary supplies and equipment. Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators such as patient wait times, appointment scheduling, and financial metrics. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in practice management, preferably in a pediatric or medical private practice environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions. Knowledge: Familiarity with EPIC, billing procedures, and insurance claims management. Certifications: Certification in medical office management or practice management (CPPM, CMOM) preferred but not required.
