New pharmaceutical distribution warehouse for Northwestern Medicine Hours: 40 hours/week Schedule: Currently this is day shift hours, but as time goes on, the center will be extending hours into the evening and will require flexibility to work variable shifts Responsibilities Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy in order to maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to meet daily production and quality goals by using the scanner to identify and select pharmaceutical product and quantity for prescription orders. Utilize automated repackaging system for unit dose from bulk product; maintain label requirements of each unit dose, expiration date management, and storage requirements maintenance. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA required for all licensed after 2008 (within 6 months of hire or sooner if required by IL pharmacy practice act) Preferred 1 year experience in a micro fulfillment or mail order pharmacy Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Will occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance Must be able to stand up majority of the workday Must have functional speech, vision, and hearing Will be exposed to chemical hazards; therefore, must have the ability to wear protective clothing as needed Northwestern Medicine is an equal opportunity employer (disability, VETS) and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected status.
