Applicants should have 5-star service standards, be detail orientated and able to multi-task and problem solve. This position works closely with patients, providers and clinic nursing staff to ensure a well-rounded care experience for patients. It is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, which makes this position an integral part of the care team. By managing patient inquiries, coordinating scheduling, and ensuring data accuracy, you will support the entire care process, contributing to an efficient, patient-centered environment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPatient Onboarding and Registration: Ensure smooth patient registration, collect necessary information, and reduce wait times.Insurance and Financial Guidance: Verify insurance coverage and explain financial responsibilities.Appointment Management: Schedule and coordinate appointments, manage cancellations, and send reminders.Patient Support: Educate and assist patients throughout their care journey, addressing any questions or concerns.Data Accuracy and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in patient records, adhering to HIPAA and clinic policies.Customer Service: Respond to patient feedback, address access issues, and ensure a positive patient experience.QualificationsIdeal CandidateDetail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.Experienced in customer service or healthcare settings.Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and other digital tools.Strong communication skills and proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems.Ability to multitask with attention to detail.With ample opportunities for growth within the system and support as you pursue your personal goals, it's safe to say that Lakewood Health System is a great place to launch or continue your career in healthcare!A new team member's starting wage reflects our compensation philosophy, taking into account experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
