The California Conservation Corps Transactions Unit is seeking a motivated candidate with exceptional leadership skills who is interested in contributing to a collaborative and productive work environment. The Personnel Supervisor I supervises up to 8 Personnel Specialists, directing the work of the department’s transactions program including payroll, employment history, and benefits. This position acts as the liaison between CCC Headquarters, CCC field offices, and various government agencies. The candidate will act as an expert staff responsible for consultation in the most sensitive and complex personnel areas. Day to day operations include utilizing various databases, generating reports and memos, directing work, assisting staff, reconciliation of monthly charges, processing payroll, processing employees’ appointments and separations, processing payroll, resolving complex issues, processing benefits, tracking salary advance requests, and resolving payroll issues.How did you hear about this position? Working Conditions
This position is classified as “Hybrid” and is currently eligible for a maximum of 1 day per week of telework.
The reporting location for this position is at CCC HQ located at 1719 24th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

• Provide quality customer service in a professional manner
• Self-motivated
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint

Benefits
Employees in the Personnel Supervisor I classification who are performing duties outlined in the class specifications and who are employed for:
Twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods shall be eligible for an annual $2400 recruitment and retention pay differentialTwenty-four (24) consecutive qualifying pay periods shall be eligible for an annual $3000 recruitment and retention pay differential
Thirty-six (36) consecutive qualifying pay periods shall be eligible for an annual $3600 recruitment and retention pay differential
Forty-eight (48) consecutive qualifying pay periods shall be eligible for an annual $4800 recruitment and retention pay differential The differentials are payable thirty (30) days following the completion of the qualifying pay periods. If an employee terminates, transfers out of an eligible class, or is discharged prior to completing the twelve (12) consecutive pay periods, there will be no pro rata payment for those months. - Transfer Eligibility – Must have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).
- Reinstatement Eligibility – Previously obtained permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above.
- Training & Development (T&D) Assignment – State employees in a permanent appointment, and no longer on probation, may be considered for a T&D assignment.
