Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements OT treatment plans as directed by the supervising OT, collects session data, and supports functional skill development for assigned clients. The OTA practices exclusively within the OTA scope of practice as defined by Oklahoma law and AOTA standards.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement OT treatment activities as directed and delegated by the supervising OT — no independent evaluation or treatment planningCollect session performance data on all targeted occupational goals and record in the Rethink EMR per supervising OT instructionsActively participate in all scheduled OT supervision contacts and implement feedbackCommunicate any client changes, family concerns, or safety issues to the supervising OT immediatelyComplete documentation in the Rethink EMR on the date of service; notes are reviewed by the supervising OTMaintain current Oklahoma OTA licensure through required renewalAssociate's degree in occupational therapy assisting from an ACOTE-accredited programCurrent, active Oklahoma OTA license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and SupervisionExperience with pediatric populations preferredNo active disciplinary sanctions on Oklahoma licenseClearance of all required background checks and OIG/SAM.gov exclusion screensOklahoma Credential RequirementMust hold a current, active OTA license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
