Position Title: Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hours: Monday thru Friday, 11:15 AM - 1:30 PM Start Date: Job Summary: The Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor is responsible for supervising and positively interacting with students during lunchtime and recess, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to managing the responsibilities of providing an outstanding experience for a diverse student population, contributing to a positive school climate, and using restorative approaches to help students solve problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Student Supervision: Oversee students in the lunchroom and playground, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Interact positively with students, promoting respectful behavior and conflict resolution.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with school staff to manage student behavior and create a supportive environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to maintain a positive climate.
• Behavior Management: Utilize restorative practices to address and resolve conflicts among students.
• Encourage positive social interactions and support students in developing problem-solving skills.

Additional Duties: Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

• Ability to supervise and engage with a diverse student population.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high professional standards and a positive school culture.
• Experience or willingness to learn restorative practices for conflict resolution.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: Hourly Range: $18.41-21.03/hr Hourly placement is based on experience, as per district guidelines. Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including PERA pension & optional 403b plan. For additional salary and benefit information, view the Support Staff Contract.
