Anesthesia Technician – Full Time, 3PM–11PM, Evenings, Morristown Medical Center, NJ Morristown, NJ, United States Job Description Assist the anesthesia care provider in preparing and using equipment, providing supplies and medications during the administration of anesthesia. Support routine and complex surgical cases under the general supervision of a licensed anesthesia care provider. Provide anesthesia technician services to patients under direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia care provider. Clean, sterilize, disinfect, order/stocks, and maintain routine anesthesia equipment. Maintain anesthesia medications, supplies, and equipment in accordance with needs and schedules. Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre‑, intra‑, and post‑anesthesia, considering age‑specific issues. Perform basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipment, reporting defects or malfunctions immediately. Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Document and maintain preventative maintenance and quality records. Assist with transportation of patients and laboratory specimens as necessary. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds/meetings as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma in Anesthesia Technology or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or in a relevant area. Preferred: Anesthesia Technician certification.
