We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - to join our team!
Work with individuals in a residential rehabilitation setting.
Be a part of making people feel safe in a therapeutic, home-like environment
Residents are alert and oriented. No lifting required, and minimal cooking and cleaning.
This position is for Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm. 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Support individuals or groups with substance abuse problems
- Follow individual treatment plans initiated by behavioral health professionals
- Help establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
- Assist with administering routine medications
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
Qualifications:
- At least a high school diploma or GED.
- Behavioral health experience (depending on level of education) at least 2 years.
- An active level one fingerprint clearance card.
- Negative TB Test: either the 2 step test or blood test.
- Active Driver's License and willingness to transport clients in the company vehicle
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in counseling, peer support, or other related fields
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This is a contractor (1099) position.
