Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting multiple specialties including trauma, CVT, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, and cataracts. Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and care excellence throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate within the operating room, coordinating surgical activities and ensuring sterile techniques are maintained.
• Scrub in for surgeries, assisting surgeons with instrument handling and procedural support.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate interventions during perioperative phases.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete required modules and lab work within specified timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and other healthcare providers.
• Comply with travel regulations, licensing requirements, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid WV or Compact RN license; no pending or temporary licenses accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative or circulating/scrubbing experience in a surgical setting.
• Ability to function across multiple surgical specialties including trauma, CVT, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, and cataracts.
• Strong clinical skills with adaptability to different surgical procedures.
• Must complete all required training modules and labs within deadlines.
