Procure assigned materials, components, supplies, equipment, and services meeting quality, delivery, price, terms, lead times, and inventory requirements Support senior buyers and the purchasing manager on procurement issues, invoice and receipt discrepancies, and order expediting Procure materials to meet inventory turns, cost, quality, and customer requirements Assist with supplier qualification, audits, new source qualification, and vendor setup Place purchase orders and communicate blanket order, master scheduling, and forecasting requirements to suppliers Determine economical lot sizes and supplier lead times Conduct quoting activities to ensure best total cost for assigned commodities Support commodity cost reduction, lead time reduction, supplier consolidation, and inventory management programs Partner with Planning to identify at-risk materials and prevent shop-floor shortages Maintain ERP data integrity, including Item Master attributes and purchasing activities Assist with expediting and de-expediting purchase order releases Set standard cost on assigned commodities Write contracts and support contract administration for standard products Assist Quality with supplier quality issues and expediting Perform special projects and related duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience Two to five years experience in purchasing or production and inventory control Good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Negotiation skills required Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite Experience in a team environment desirable APICS certification desirable Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in procurement processes, including supplier qualification, inventory management, and cost reduction strategies. Proficient in maintaining ERP data integrity and executing purchase orders while ensuring quality and delivery standards are met.
