Welcome to The HOUSEpitality Family! We are the restaurant group who owns and operates all Boathouse, Casa del Barco, Island Shrimp Co. and Can Can Brasserie locations in and around Richmond, VA. The server will provide high-quality service that will help maintain and attract customers. The server will have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with all other staff. Main responsibilities will be providing great service to our external guests.

Position expectations:

• Exceptional communication skills; engaging with internal and external guests
• Working on a 'Toast Goes' handheld to take and input orders
• Knowledge of the menu and an ability to make recommendations and upsell
• Ensure guests are enjoying the service and the ability to take action to correct any problems as needed
• Collect and process payments
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Work through complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Proper attention to cleanliness and safety
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all co-workers
• Able to perform high-quality work
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system (Toast)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner

• Servers must have prior experience
• Servers must be at least 18
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to go up and down stairs
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
• Great communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow directions
