This full-service teaching medical center maintains a dedicated behavioral health unit structured to deliver inpatient psychiatric services to an adult involuntary population. The facility operates with established clinical protocols and multidisciplinary resources to support continuity of psychiatric care delivery. Locum tenens coverage is sought beginning December 2026 on an ongoing basis.

The area offers a range of attractions suited to varied interests, including The Mills at Jersey Gardens for shopping, Warinanco Park for outdoor recreation, and the Ritz Theatre and Performing Arts Center for cultural experiences. Clinicians on assignment will find golf courses in the surrounding county, horse riding approximately 20 minutes away at Watchung Stables, and professional sports at the MetLife Sports Complex about 30 minutes north. Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and the Jersey Shore beaches are accessible by car, making the area a practical base for regional day trips.
About the Clinician's Workday
Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services on an adult involuntary unit, working day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include rounding on and managing a daily caseload of 10-20 adult patients, conducting psychiatric evaluations, and providing medication management. Support staff includes residents, nursing personnel, and social workers to facilitate continuity of care. Call requirements are negotiable for this assignment.
