Research Support Specialist

We are looking for a Research Support Specialist to join a dynamic team in College Park, MD . Research Support Specialist – Level 1 Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and operational support for research activities and facility functions. Coordinate visitors, travel, meetings, and special arrangements for VIP guests in collaboration with Government staff. Answer phones, greet and log visitors, and manage incoming and outgoing mail. Procure supplies and materials to support research lab operations. Serve as a liaison between organizations (e.g., government, academic, and contractor teams) to support researchers with administrative needs. Perform basic security functions, including maintaining visitor logs, processing clearance information, and serving as an alternate point of contact for security matters. Prepare facility planning reports and support facility-related documentation. Manage and maintain time accounting systems. Coordinate schedules, meetings, facility tours, and travel arrangements, including expense tracking. Recommend administrative procedures in alignment with Government-approved processes. Maintain records and ensure proper documentation management. Coordinate with Government personnel to schedule facility maintenance and support operational readiness. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience providing administrative support in a professional environment. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Experience supporting operations in a structured or regulated environment is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities and interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Familiarity with basic security procedures and administrative systems is a plus. US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required. Pay Range $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening.
