Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide acute care nursing to patients in the Emergency Room, including those admitted or waiting in the ED or hallway. Flexibility to work in acute care areas and adapt to facility needs is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients in the emergency environment, including bedded and boarded patients.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient care.
• Float within scope to support various departments and needs.
• Comply with all safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Tennessee or valid compact license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care or ER experience.
• Valid ACLS certification required.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior Cerner experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
