In this role, you will work with the Senior Designer on residential renovation projects, transforming client visions into functional, beautiful spaces. Responsibilities Conduct site visits for field measurements and design intake. Collaborate with the Senior Designer to develop efficient and functional floor plans. Present designs to clients professionally, ensuring designs are easy for clients to understand and that presentations are executed in a professional manner. Prepare documents for permitting and take a project from design contract to approved permit independently; discuss and advocate for a project during plan review to achieve timely permitting. Hand off projects seamlessly from Estimators to Project Managers. Communicate with crews when necessary to maintain design standards, such as tile pattern, cabinet placement, and countertop layout. Fluency with design software and ability to learn new software quickly, particularly Chief Architect or similar tools. Maintain professional communication with clients. Accept client feedback on designs and redesign the space to meet their needs and critiques. Skills Proficiency in Chief Architect Strong knowledge of construction processes, renovation techniques, and interior design principles Experience with project scheduling tools and construction management software Excellent communication skills with clients and contractors Ability to create designs that fit budgets effectively Skilled in drafting detailed plans, sections, elevations, and 3D visualizations for residential projects Familiarity with building codes Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree 8+ years of relevant experience in residential design Proficiency in design software (Chief Architect) Why Join Us?
