Position Overview

This position offers a variable shift schedule with a focus on advanced diagnostic imaging procedures. This role requires a commitment to deliver high-quality patient care and effective imaging results in various modalities.

General Job Duties

The sonographer is expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Abdomen: Includes Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, and Renal imaging for both normal and pathological conditions.
• Gynecology (GYN): Imaging of breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis; covers normal and pathological findings, including post-menopausal and transvaginal assessments for adult and pediatric patients.
• Obstetrics (OB): Assessment of pregnancy trimesters, including amniocentesis, complication evaluation, biophysical profiling, gestational age determination, placental grading, identification of abnormalities, and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).
• Neonatal: Imaging focused on congenital anomalies and neonatal head assessments.
• Superficial Structures: Evaluation of the abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematomas, scrotum/testes, and thyroid.
• Vascular: Conduct carotid duplex studies, segmental pressure studies, and venous and arterial duplex imaging for upper and lower extremities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a full-time sonographer in an acute hospital setting.
• At least one contract or more with direct experience in relevant procedures.

Licenses and Certifications

• ARDMS certifications in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), and Vascular Technology (RVT).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, must be AHA certified.

Shift Requirements

• 40-hour work week with potential on-call responsibilities.
• Floating to other units or departments may be required.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire are required.

Additional Information
