Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team serving the Pacific Northwest region. This role involves performing screening, diagnostic, and invasive breast examinations with precision and care, adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment in imaging procedures and collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Conduct screening, diagnostic, and invasive breast exams according to established policies.
• Use independent judgment to determine the need for additional imaging views or radiologist consultation.
• Ensure accurate billing and thorough documentation of all procedures.
• Enter exam-related data into computerized systems efficiently and accurately.
• Support other clinical areas when not engaged in imaging tasks.
• Perform stereotactic biopsy needle tests and setup biopsy procedures.
• Assist with pre-surgical breast needle localizations.

Qualifications

• Documentation of at least 25 supervised mammograms from an accredited facility.
• Completion of 8 continuing education units in digital mammography.
• Experience with digital interventional procedures.
• Strong customer service skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Education

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program, verified through licensure.

Licenses and Certifications

• California Registered Technologist Mammography (CRTM) license required.
• American Radiologic Registry Technologist (ARRT) license required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology Mammography (ARRTM) certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
