About the Role

The Company is in search of a bilingual (Chinese Mandarin / English) General Counsel to serve as a strategic legal leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the legal department, providing comprehensive legal counsel across all business aspects, and partnering with senior management to develop and implement effective legal strategies. This critical role involves overseeing corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, intellectual property, contracts, compliance, and risk management. The General Counsel will also be tasked with staying current on legal developments in the energy and manufacturing industry, developing legal compliance programs, and participating in strategic business discussions. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a well-known law school, with a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. A background in the energy or manufacturing industry is essential, with a focus on areas such as investment, financing, international business, engineering, construction, sales, contracts, or procurement. The role requires a proven track record in providing strategic legal counsel, strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual capability in Mandarin and English is a must, with a preference for candidates with proficiency in the Mandarin language.
