About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its Wellstar College of Health and Human Services. The successful candidate will serve as the College's chief executive and academic officer, providing strategic leadership and oversight in academic, administrative, and financial matters. This role involves working closely with College leadership, the Academic Deans' Council, and the Provost to elevate academic distinction, foster student success, and deepen engagement. The Dean will be responsible for crafting and executing an innovative and actionable vision for the College, and must be prepared to uphold the highest academic standards, demonstrate a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and service, and possess strong management and leadership abilities with a commitment to transparency and shared governance. Applicants for the Dean position at the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services must have the credentials to hold an appointment at the rank of tenured full professor and a proven track record of leadership experience within a university setting. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, intellectually curious, and entrepreneurial leader, capable of guiding the College toward a dynamic future. The role requires a leader who can build on the College's existing momentum and potential, and who is dedicated to the mission of the College in the areas of health and human services. The Dean will be expected to work with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students, and to promote a culture of academic excellence and inclusivity.
