Vascular Tech PositionThe primary purpose of a Vascular Tech is to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic techniques to perform routine, vascular, non-invasive procedures, and echocardiograms to include 2D, Color Doppler, Pulse Wave, and Stress. Your job requirements include: being registered or registry eligible as a Vascular Sonographer, having a preference for two years allied health program or two years of college with biological sciences, demonstrating competency in cardiovascular echocardiography, and the ability to recognize abnormal structure and correlate this information into a useful study.Your job responsibilities include attending all required Safety Training programs and describing responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards; maintaining confidentiality of clinic and patient information; correlating clinical history with the test to be performed; performing complete study including M MODE, REAL TIME, COLOR FLOW MAPPING, and DOPPLER; preparing patients for examination and explaining the procedure while performing studies; promoting effective working relationships and working effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goal and objectives; demonstrating respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment; participating in reading with physician and contributing professional knowledge to final diagnostic impression or report; maintaining order cleanliness of all equipment and work area; consulting with referring physician regarding patient's previous history; and performing other job duties as assigned.Methodist Medical Group is the North Texas physician organization affiliated with Methodist Health System.
