Direct Support Staff

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities

Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility

Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately

Facilitate community integration and accompany clients to appointments and activities

Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Promote client independence, dignity, and self-determination at all times

Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
