Assembly Technician

Assembler Technician - Rancho Bernardo, CA - 1st Shift As an assembler, you will build and validate precision opto-mechanical assemblies following detailed procedures. You will utilize standardized tools and electric equipment, such as torque wrenches and pneumatic screwdrivers, to perform mechanical assembly. Your role will involve entering data into company databases and conducting inspections and tests throughout the production process. Responsibilities Build and validate precision opto-mechanical assemblies according to procedures. Use standardized tools and electric equipment for mechanical assembly. Enter data into company databases. Perform simple standardized inspections/tests during production. Collaborate with engineers for special builds and experiments. Work with peers and supervisors to resolve issues. Operate precision cleaning machinery. Prepare completed assemblies for shipment. Recommend procedural improvements to management. Ensure quality control measures are followed for module production. Identify and document discrepant material. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Assembly and repair skills. Proficiency in using hand tools and electric/pneumatic tools. Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze data and report problems effectively. Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with electro-optical and/or opto-mechanical systems. Ability to detect visible defects with 20/20 or corrected vision. Work Environment The position involves working on either the first or second shift from Monday to Friday, with comfort in a cleanroom environment essential. Employees are expected to work under deadlines and interact with colleagues across various scenarios. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
