We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Commercial & Industrial Electrical Division and help manage projects from award through completion. Position Summary The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, execution, and administration of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Working alongside Project Managers, field leaders, customers, and vendors, this role helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field who is looking to develop a long-term career in electrical construction project management. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers in managing commercial and industrial electrical projects Support project scheduling, manpower planning, and material procurement activities Track project budgets, labor productivity, and job costs Assist with change orders, project documentation, RFIs, and submittals Coordinate communication between customers, contractors, vendors, and field personnel Attend project meetings and provide status updates Support project forecasting, reporting, and closeout activities Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget Conduct occasional jobsite visits to monitor project progress Maintain accurate project records and documentation Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field strongly preferred Internship, co-op, or professional experience in construction, electrical contracting, manufacturing, or project coordination preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Desire to learn commercial and industrial electrical construction Valid driver's license with a clean driving record OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, but not required Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and able to quickly learn applicable software applications Experience Level Salary Range Entry Level / Recent College Graduate with Commercial & Industrial construction industry experience | $60,000 - $70,000 3-4 Years Related Experience | $70,000 - $85,000 Experienced Assistant Project Manager (5+ years' experience) | $85,000 - $100,000 Adams, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with Employer Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Professional Development and Training Opportunities Career Advancement Path into Project Management Work Environment This position combines office-based project coordination with occasional visits to commercial construction sites and industrial facilities throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
