PRN Clinical Specialist Pharmacist/ ICU/ED

Overview This is a PRN position primarily responsible for providing coverage in critical areas, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED). Eight (8) and ten (10) hour shifts will be required based on departmental needs. PRN staff will be required to work at least one weekend per month, as well as major and minor holidays, consistent with the requirements for PRN staff. Description Functions as a clinical expert in a specialty practice area (e.g. oncology, transplant, critical care, and/or nutrition support). Assesses and evaluation drug therapy and makes recommendations as appropriate. Serves as a preceptor for students and residents and serves as a resource for pharmacists advancing their clinical skills. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy; Eligible for Georgia Licensure. Candidate is required to be licensed in Georgia prior to official start date; ASHP-ACCREDITED PGY1 and PGY 2 residencies or equivalent experience. BPS certified preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required. Physical Requirements (Medium) 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
