needed for a part-time, 24 hour per week, temp

opportunity with Yoh's well-known manufacturing client located in Iowa City, IA .

Anticipating job to start ASAP and cover about 3-6 months. This clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Interesting job getting to help keep employees healthy and safe at work and help with medical screenings.

--> Shifts - 24 hrs per week

: Monday-Thursday 7:00am to 1:00pm or Tuesday-Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse license in state of Iowa
• Previous experience within: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Medicine, School Nursing, or Corrections type setting
• Recent clinical experience and strong first-aid skills
• Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing, and reliable

What You'll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
• Provide wellness materials/information (health promotion and disease prevention)
• Assist with the delivery of the medical surveillance program (ie hearing conservation and spirometry)
• Provide counseling, health education, and training programs
• Dispense OTC medications
• Respond to medical emergencies and administer first-aid to employees

What You Need to Bring to the Table

• Required Certifications: BLS & CAOHC/COHC (hearing conservation/audiometry)
  • Hearing conservation course must be completed prior to starting if you do not already hold an active certification.
    
  
  
• Must be comfortable working autonomously
• Prior experience using Microsoft Teams & Microsoft Excel
• Preferred Certifications: NIOSH (spirometry) and COHN (Certified Occupational Health Nurse)
