Oscar Wilde, known for its extraordinary Victorian-inspired atmosphere, vibrant cocktail program, and unforgettable guest experiences, is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team.
Located in the heart of Manhattan, Oscar Wilde is a high-volume restaurant and cocktail destination offering an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to inspire a team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re not looking for someone who simply manages shifts. We’re looking for a true hospitality leader who takes ownership, leads by example, and brings energy, professionalism, and accountability to every service.
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, develop a strong team, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in high-volume NYC restaurants or upscale hospitality venues.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop FOH teams.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, labor management, scheduling, and cost controls.
- Experience overseeing busy brunch, lunch, dinner, private events, and late-night service.
- Excellent guest relations, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of NYC Department of Health standards.
- Experience with Toast POS and reservation platforms is a plus.
- A hands-on leadership style with attention to detail and a passion for hospitality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
