Teacher/Tutor - School Day

$28 per hour

Job Description

Urgent Hiring.

We are looking for dynamic tutors to teach ELA at a local Dayton school during the school day, hours and days may vary. This Is Not a Remote Position. You MUST have a bachelor's degree, at a minimum. You will be employed by Huntington Learning Center.
Position Details:

Part-Time: 20-35 hours a week, Tuesday through Saturday, hours and days may vary based on school schedule.
Duration: May 2026 through July 2026.
Location: Dunbar High School, Dayton, OH.
High School-aged students, English Language Arts.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Compensation:

With Bachelor's Degree: From $28.00 per hour.
With valid Teaching Certification: From $30.00 per hour.
Bonus potential.

Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
Administer baseline tests at established intervals.

Adhere to Huntington Learning Center’s mission statement that Every Child Can Learn.
Possess basic computer operating knowledge.
Clear background checks and employment eligibility.
