Come grow with us.What you'll be doing:PRN schedule (as needed) 6:30am-7:00pmThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. They will partner with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and a consistently therapeutic milieu for all patients.As a leader of the health care team, the RN provides professional nursing care, utilizing sound clinical judgement, in alignment with ERC Pathlight's established standards of care, policies, and procedures. They are expected to remain flexible, demonstrate effective, efficient care while maintaining quality, in alignment with ERC Pathlight's vision, mission, and strategic plan. All teammates are expected to treat patients, families, and co-workers with dignity and respect. The RN may be required to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.Essential duties and responsibilities:Performs a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response to care in accordance with the patient's treatment planPerforms initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and educationPlaces, receives, and completes provider orders per ERCP policyAdministers medications via multiple routes in accordance with ERCP policy and provider ordersPerforms phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point of care testing in accordance with ERCP policy and laboratory vendor protocolsPlaces/maintains nasogastric tubes and administers enteral feedingPlaces/maintains intravenous access and administers intravenous fluidsPerforms wound careDocuments all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical recordSupervises and delegates care to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health TechniciansCommunicates and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patientEnsures care provided aligns with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goalsParticipates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings regarding patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventionsDocuments and reports to treatment team regarding patient status and progressParticipates in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammatesResponds to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on sceneMust haves:Active Registered Nurse License in state position is held (Required)Basic Life Support certification (Required)Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (Required)Ability to remain calm in stressful situations (Required)Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (Required)Bonus qualities:1 year+ working with patients in the mental health field (Preferred)The compensation range for this position is based upon candidate experience and market expectations.Illinois Pay Range$37.50 - $46.50 USDWhat We OfferAt ERC Pathlight, caring for people is our mission and that begins with caring for our own team.
