Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care at our Smyrna, TN location. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the Registered Nurse Site Coordinator will be responsible for the following to include, but not limited to:

• Supervision and professional development of the clinical support staff.
• Work to ensure quality care and help patients and providers through efficient and effective clinical coordination of the clinical support staff
• Develop and maintain an effective system for the maintenance of nursing records, administer monthly/annual reports/audits to assure the provision of good quality health care
• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants with examinations and procedures as needed
• Assist patients in understanding providers orders
• Administer medications as indicated by Physician orders
• Monitor and document vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, as well as chief complaints, nursing history, and allergy history for patients
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA Guidelines

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Writing routine reports and business correspondence is required.

Interested applicants must have current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of Tennessee, graduating from an accredited RN program required. Nursing licensure must be maintained throughout employment. Candidates must have a valid CPR certification, which must be maintained throughout employment.

At least 3-5 years of RN experience required in an OB/GYN practice or hospital and supervisory experience preferred. The following are additional skills required of an RN applicant:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills with acute attention to detail are required. Ability to travel locally to multiple sites as needed.
• Ability to work in stressful conditions and difficult situations.

• Ability to cooperate and work with others.
• Ability to make sound and timely decisions.
• Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week and weekends as needed.
