Environments Developer, Software Engineer About Fleet AI Fleet AI is an applied artificial intelligence company focused on human-AI collaboration at scale. Our goal is to accelerate the transition to the allocation economy — a future where humans direct work rather than perform it. We are building training gyms for AI agents: high-fidelity simulation environments where agents can practice real tasks and humans can supervise, evaluate, and steer their behavior. About the Role As an Environments Developer, you'll build and maintain the simulation environments that are core to Fleet's product—high-fidelity clones of real-world software products—SaaS platforms, developer tools, e-commerce sites, financial systems, and more (think: QuickBooks, GitHub, Salesforce, Booking.com , ServiceNow, Stripe) where AI agents train, evaluate, and improve. You'll work closely with our platform team to ship new environments fast, iterate on existing ones based on researcher and user feedback, and contribute to the infrastructure that automates environment creation, testing, and deployment. This is hands-on, full-stack work at the intersection of web development and AI infrastructure. What You'll Do Build new simulation environments from scratch—full-stack web apps that replicate real software products with realistic data, workflows, and edge cases Iterate on existing environments to improve fidelity, reliability, and coverage based on researcher feedback and automated quality signals Implement and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that expose environment functionality to AI agents Write seed data pipelines that populate environments with realistic, internally consistent datasets Contribute to shared tooling and infrastructure for automated environment building, testing, and deployment Manage fleets of coding agents to parallelize environment development work You May Be a Good Fit If You Are a high-agency, deeply technical builder Are looking for short-term, full-time work at the frontier of AI, working from either our SF or NYC offices.
