This role oversees technicians, schedules work, supports troubleshooting, and drives continuous improvement, playing a key role in equipment reliability, team development, and maintaining high safety and performance standards. This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.Your 'day to day'Promote a safe work environment and enforce safe work practicesAnalyze operations and recommend improvements for labor, materials, and equipment efficiencySchedule and oversee maintenance activities to maximize team performanceLead, coach, and motivate maintenance teams to meet productivity goalsSupport production through optimal machine utilization and reduced downtimeDrive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., problem solving, 5S)Ensure proper training, performance management, and development of team membersMaintain maintenance inventory and implement efficient storage practicesMonitor equipment condition and manage preventive maintenance to maximize uptimeSupport installation and integration of new machineryMaintain accurate employee records (payroll, attendance, performance)Collaborate with production to optimize equipment and process performanceEnsure compliance with labor agreements and company policiesWork a flexible schedule across shifts as neededWho we're looking for:Education & ExperienceVocational training or equivalent experience5+ years of mechanical/electrical experience in manufacturingSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, communication, and coaching skillsProven ability to schedule work, train teams, and drive accountabilityStrong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, programming)Experience with CMMS and maintenance reliability practicesHighly organized with strong attention to detailContinuous improvement mindsetOther RequirementsAbility to understand labor contractsMust complete NOCTI assessmentAbility to stand/walk for extended periodsAnnual Base Salary Range: $ 80,000 - $100,000What's 'nice to have'Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (required)What we offerWe offer a competitive base salary, annual bonus (applicable based on level of position), great medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k with a generous company match, incredible wellness benefits, and much more!Seize the freedom to define your future and ours.
