Lead Electrical / Automation Technician

Electrical Technician

TRC is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to layout, assemble, and wire electrical panels, third-party hardware, and sensors for robotic work cells and industrial automation systems. This position plays a key role in the build, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of automation equipment while ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Location: Alpharetta, Ga

Job Type: Direct Hire

Travel: 10-25% domestically and internationally

Hourly: $33-35/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and troubleshoot electrical panels and automation systems.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

• Install conduit, wireways, sensors, and related electrical components.

• Test and verify electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design requirements.

• Support machine integration, debugging, and customer acceptance activities.

• Monitor project schedules and complete work within established timelines.

• Provide build progress updates and communicate issues to management.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, programmers, technicians, and customers to resolve technical issues.

• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures, including ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician, Technical Diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

• Experience building electrical panels and wiring industrial automation systems.

• Robotics, electronics, and automated machine-building experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA regulations.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
