This position may be responsible for site clean-up, unloading, staging, and distributing work material to other employees at a job site. Position will also cut and thread pipe. May install and test fire sprinkler systems under the close guidance of a Sprinkler Fitter. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day-to-day work tasks from a Sprinkler Fitter. The Helper is also responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers, and customers.Responsibilities:Install, test, and service fire sprinkler systemsCut and thread pipe and manage materialAssist in the installation of valves, couplings, and other fittingsPerform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipmentLearn construction project skills, including reading blue printsQualifications:Basic mechanical and math skillsMust exhibit the initiative to learn the skills of the tradeAbility to work independently with limited supervisionSuccessful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
