Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician

Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician (Dryer Technician) Unitex is currently seeking a skilled Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our team in Newburgh, NY. This position requires one year of mechanical work experience and has tremendous growth potential. Compensation $22 - $27 per hour. Salary range: $22.00/hour to $27.00/hour. Compensation based on experience, seniority, location, and other permissible factors. Schedule To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract. Repair carts, maintain slings, take on small projects, and perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential problems and ensure optimal equipment performance. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications as needed. Requirements Strong desire to learn industrial laundry maintenance and grow within the company. Punctual and reliable a must - shift starts as early as 5:30 AM. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or similar role in an industrial setting. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques. Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate maintenance records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments. A computerized assessment is utilized as part of the recruiting process.
