Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Lead Assistant

to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, motivated dental professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys leading a clinical team while delivering excellent patient care. Job Responsibilities / Duties Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery procedures Prepare and maintain surgical operatories for procedures and ensure proper sterilization protocols Take and process dental radiographs and CBCT scans as needed Monitor and assist with patient sedation and recovery in accordance with office protocols and state regulations Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and instructions Maintain accurate patient records and charting within the practice management system Manage surgical instruments, equipment, and inventory for the surgical suite Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards Oversee and coordinate daily clinical flow for surgical procedures Train, mentor, and support dental assistants and clinical staff Communicate effectively with the surgeon, team members, and referring offices Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining surgical equipment
