Machinist Aviation Component Repair Machinist Aviation Component Repair Industry: Aviation / Aerospace Component MRO Job Type: Direct Hire Location: Louisville, KY Pay Rate: $35.00 $40.00/hr, with quick advancement opportunities Available Shift: 1st Shift: Monday Friday, 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Job Description Snelling has an immediate opening for a Machinist with an established aviation company in the Louisville, KY area. This position will work with manual lathes, vertical lathes, mills, surface grinders, and CNC mill/lathe programming to machine and fabricate precision aircraft components to spec. The ideal candidate can work independently, reads blueprints fluently, and brings a proactive, problem-solving attitude to a fast-paced aerospace repair environment. Job Duties Machine and fabricate aircraft components and tooling to exact specifications Operate a variety of manual and CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders Program and run CNC mills and lathes Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Inspect finished parts for conformance to industry and OEM standards Support fabrication and custom tooling projects as needed Machinist Requirements Proven experience operating both manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, surface grinders) Ability to program CNC mills and lathes Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills Precision measurement and inspection skills (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Aviation/aerospace machining experience a plus Benefits Medical, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance after 30 days 401(k) eligible from start date, matched after 1 year Weekly electronic pay About Snelling Since 1951, Snelling has helped match exceptional people with exceptional opportunities, and we continue to set the standard of excellence in our field.
