The Behavioral Health Patient Coordinator/ Receptionist represents to the community the quality-of-service delivery provided through Behavioral Health Services and thus is required to have interpersonal skills, patience, and a strong ability for problem-solving in crisis or conflict situations. This individual will implement a screening and triage process to assist families in determining the necessary services. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to interact with all levels of Serene Health's staff, and a wide range of external contacts.Responsibilities:Manage front desk, greet clients, and manage office supplies.Confirm coverage details including deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance amountsProvide excellent customer service by answering patient questions about their insurance and benefits.Implement a screening and triage process to assist potential clients in determining the necessary services.Answering, returning, scheduling client calls.Schedule follow up and intake appointments as needed.The ability to add, update, and edit scheduling services.Ability to complete all data entry for pre-admission including identifying information, the reason for referral, relevant history, and payor type information.Identify emergent or complex cases and seek clinical review, as needed, prior to finalizing the patient's appointment.Maintains confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.Maintaining a working relationship with managerial, administrative, and clinical staff to assure efficiency in the day-to-day responsibilities.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED required.Minimum 2 + years of experience in front office work preferred.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Required Skills/Abilities:Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and have excellent data entry skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.Ability to maintain confidential records.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at an office desk on the computer.Lifting: Able to lift up to 15lbs.Travel Requirements:The home office will be Tinley Park, and staff will be asked to provide coverage at our Schaumburg location as neededMileage will be reimbursed at $0.72/ mile.Pay range$18 - $22 USDBenefitsOur full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits enrollment after 60 days of employment:Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits: We have various insurance options for you and your family.Short & Long-Term Disability Benefits: Protection when you need it most.Voluntary Accident, Voluntary Critical Illness, and Voluntary Hospital Indemnity Plans: Added security for you and your loved ones.Flexible Spending Accounts: Manage your finances with flexibility.Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Support when life throws challenges your way.401(K): Building your financial future with us.
