Real Estate Appraiser Trainee

Seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented individual to join a growing small business within the Commercial Real Estate industry. Responsibilities: Independently conduct site visits for commercial properties across Cook County Research and draft market analyses for a variety of property types Understand basic commercial lease types and the expenses associated with them Be able to read and interpret basic income and expense statements Learn to independently write appraisal reports Become acquainted with the legal aspects of the tax appeal process and the appraisal industry, as well as maintain license ethics standards Utilize appraisal software and Excel to efficiently produce high quality reports Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or other related field A basic understanding of income analysis as it pertains to income generating real estate investments Ability to meet deadlines Organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at once Professional written and verbal communication skills Competitive pay (base-salary with bonus) 401k and healthcare Opportunity to grow and develop skills required for a career in Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Dedicated supervisor and team to facilitate career growth and aid in complex properties About MVS A regional commercial real estate appraisal and consulting firm, MVS utilizes the latest technology and techniques to provide quick and accurate valuation services for a variety of clients across the Midwest.
