About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for a pivotal role in spearheading a new go-to-market initiative focused on innovative maritime training solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the market adoption of a diverse training catalog, including conventional classroom training and cutting-edge immersive gaming and streaming products that offer virtual simulations and interactive learning experiences. This strategic position demands a dynamic leader with a strong background in the commercial maritime industry, particularly in working with a customer audience that includes mariners, ship operators, and maritime educational institutions. The VP will be instrumental in establishing the business structure, leading a sales team, and ensuring the seamless integration of technology into global maritime training. Candidates for the Vice President role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of leadership experience in driving sales growth within the maritime or commercial shipping sector. A background in a commercial, profit-driven training company is highly valued, as is experience in product management and business development for technology-based training products. The role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing sales plans, a deep understanding of the maritime industry, and exceptional skills in customer relationship management. The VP will be accountable for the operational success of client training programs and will be expected to collaborate with internal and external teams to refine training products that meet the evolving needs of maritime professionals. Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills are essential, and certifications in sales leadership or project management are a plus.
