Crane Operator

Overview IHS Metals Recycling is seeking an experienced crane operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a crane to lift, move, and position loads in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience operating cranes in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and industrial plants. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of safety protocols. Role Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer’s instruction Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories to ensure no damages or malfunctions to the equipment Report needed repairs to supervision Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment Assist with operation of other equipment as needed Adhere to OSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations Perform duties with minimum supervision Perform routine maintenance on crane Load and unload materials from crane Communicate with other workers to ensure proper placement of materials Help unload customer vehicles, load trailers, roll off boxes, keep the yard clean, identify & buys ferrous & non-ferrous materials, run forklift, etc. Qualifications Must be able to work possible weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed Must be able to read equipment operating manual Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection report Must be able to read and interpret gauges Must be able to wear all required safety equipment Must have the physical abilities to perform the daily functions Ability to operate a magnetic grapple is a plus Benefits Health Insurance Vision Insurance Dental insurance Company Paid Life Insurance Paid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr
