Canner/Packager (6p-6.30a)

We are looking for a Canner/Packager for our Troy, MI facility. In this role you will set up and operate all equipment for the canning/ packaging process. You will be responsible for packaging material and finished products while meeting or exceeding safety, quality, and production targets. You will be working 12-hour shifts overnight (6p-6.30a) on a two-week rotating schedule.

Your Responsibilities:

• Set-up packaging line, including installation of packaging equipment as well as placement of appropriately labeled and color-coded hoppers.
• Clean packaging equipment between alloys to remove residual powder.
• Deliver packaged products to shipping.
• Meet or exceed all safety, environmental, and health goals for department.
• Meet or exceed quality and productivity goals for production orders.
• Contribute to continual improvement activities.
• Notify lead or supervisor about any problems.
• Assist in other departments (i.e. Screening, Remelt, Cladding, Blends, Tape and Paste) as/when needed
• Performs other duties as required

Your Profile:

• Basic math skills and organization ability
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, i.e. lifting, bending, standing
• Ability to safely operate cranes and powered industrial vehicles
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts6pm-6:30am
