RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

About the Position Fusion Medical Staffing seeks an ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Fargo, North Dakota. Responsibilities Providing comprehensive critical care to ICU patients. Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients. Operating and managing advanced life support equipment. Administering complex medications and treatments per critical care nursing techniques. Performing and interpreting advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheters). Accurately documenting all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record. Providing education to patients and families regarding ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Maintaining proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhering to strict infection control protocols, hospital safety protocols, and regulatory standards. Engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. Strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, and excellent communication. Commitment to maintaining highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics. Proficiency in evaluating complex medications and treatments. Physical and Mental Requirements Physical: Ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment 50–100 lb, push, pull, and bend. Technical/Motor: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures or using department equipment. Mental: Ability to cope with frequent contact with the public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; ability to work under close supervision occasionally and independently.
